Skästra village just north of Järvsö is known for its annual
market dating back o the 18th century (and which took place on 20-21 March
this year). It is home to the farm "Lökes" with its main
house from 1846 and its many outbuildings, including three stately grain
stores of which one from the 16th century. The farm functioned as an inn
on market days and eventually came to house a doctor's clinic.
